Hotels to any taste

The Turkmen land has always been renowned for hospitality. It is possibly because of it that from the date of gaining independence the construction boom, so peculiar to Turkmenistan, started with erection of modern hotels combining the eastern luxury with European level of service? As if with a wave of a magic wand, the complex of over dozen fashionable hotels, including the "necklace" of hotels -, "Nebitchi", “Kopetdag" and many, many more, sprang up in the south of Ashgabat, in the picturesque mountain foothills.

Nowadays, Ashgabat has dozens of high-class hotels, including fashionable “President Hotel” opened a year ago. The well proportioned silhouette of the 17-storeyed magnificent building sparkling with stained-glass windows and glaringly white marble has become inseparable part of the urban landscape of Ashgabat's new business center rapidly growing in the Kopetdag foothills. For the short time, the hotel managed to win the title of the best one in Turkmenistan. The interest in the new hotel is quite natural, for the level of service in it conforms to the highest international standards. It has all necessary conditions for rest and work, for holding official and business meetings at the highest level, different conferences. The conference hall and meeting room are at “President Hotel" guests' service. If necessary, they can be easily merged into a single hall for 300 seats. The hotel's furniture attracts attention: the valuable types of wood from Italy were used in its trimming. It also has the newest demonstration techniques. Small meeting halls are meant for business meetings with a limited number of participants. President Hotel is designed most of all for receiving the imposing national and foreign delegations, however, its doors are wide open for the citizens of Turkmenistan and foreign guests traveling privately and valuing the exquisite style and comfort.

Today, a guest of the Turkmen capital has to make an uneasy choice of the place of stay. As they say, everything depends on the amount of cash in your pocket. The range is very broad: from five-star palace hotels to small and very cozy and cheap inns.

It is pleasing that not only in Ashgabat, but in the regions as well the modern hotel infrastructure is created. Perhaps, the tourist sector is developed most dynamically in the Balkan region, the territory rich in natural resources, cultural sights and resorts.

Two tall white-marbled hotels "Serdar" and "Turkmenbashy" have been erected on the coast of the Caspian Sea in Turkmenbashy. In the nearest future, some more fashionable hotel complexes will be built there.

The tourist infrastructure is actively developing in the Dashoguz region. Wonderful monuments of architecture in Kunya Urgench town, ancient settlements and other sights preserving the history of these places attract travelers and tourists. Those who strive to see these unique historical memorials and get acquainted with the modern life of the northern region of Turkmenistan in “Uzboy Hotel”, which has been reconstructed lately. Therefore, it is not surprising that a new hotel built in Mary, the region's administrative centre, in 2004 got the euphonic name "Margush". The white marble building is located in one of the most beautiful places of the region's administrative centre, on the bank of the Murgab River. The cozy rooms are at guests' service. The designers turned its territory into the exquisite green corner decorated with wonderful fountains.

In general, in the years of independence over thirty modern hotels have been erected in Turkmenistan, almost all existing hotels have been reconstructed. However, no one is going to rest on laurels. The time is not far off when every regional centre will have a modern hotel. Special attention will be paid to construction of fashionable complexes in the unique natural "pearls" of Turkmenistan - on the Caspian coast, the Kopetdag Mountains, the Koytendag Mountains and other corners of the country.
