Visa information

All foreign travelers to Turkmenistan require a visa. Travelers who have a Turkmenistan embassy, consulate or diplomatic representative, should get their visa in their home country or in any Turkmen embassies located close to your home country before departing for Turkmenistan. DN TOURS can provide you with an invitation - visa support letter (essential to obtain a visa) for a maximum stay of 2 weeks. To obtain official government approval of the invitation letter usually takes 15 calendar days by the State Immigration Service of Turkmenistan. In order to get a letter of invitation confirmed by the State Immigration Service of Turkmenistan, you're required to provide DN TOURS with the following personal details:

Place of Entry

IT IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A PASSPORT COPY OF TRAVELLER (usually last page with photo) TO THE STATE IMMIGRATION SERVICE OF TURKMENISTAN to get an approved invitation letter.

All other visitors can purchase a visa from the local authorities on arrival. Again, however, a letter of invitation from a company registered in Turkmenistan, endorsed in written form by the Turkmen Immigration Office, is required and must be presented to the immigration officers on arrival. The visa fee for Turkmenistan is $81 USD upon arrival in Saparmurat Turkmenbashy International Airport.

According to the new decree the Ministry for Tourism & Sport of Turkmenistan TRAVEL ENTRY PASS is issued for every tourist to pass passport control in each border.

All tourists must be registered after arrival in Turkmenistan at City Tourism Board within three days. Registration fee is included into tour cost. Please bring the following documents such as: 1) a valid Passport, 2)2 colored photos (3 x 4 cm)

Through Land:

In case your tourists will agree to get their Turkmen visas at Turkmen borders (Dashoguz ,Khodjeili & Farab) then they have to be ready to proceed to Turkmen border directly after Uzbek border. Between Uzbek & Turkmen borders there are shuttle buses which help tourists to reach borders points. Turkmen visas are issued for Foreign Travelers at above mentioned borders on spot.

Please note that Visa Departments don't work on Sunday & during Public Holidays, as those days are DAYOFF. On those days visa fee will be more expensive. See below.

Upon each entry Turkmenistan foreign travelers must pay an Immigration fee of $10 USD per person + 2 USD for issuing bank receipt & keep an immigration card till the end of the tour in Turkmenistan.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that Visa Fee for some countries is different in case tourists prefer to get Turkmen visas at Turkmen borders.

For instance: Belgian & U.K. tourists have to pay $71 USD p/p at Uzbek-Turkmen borders mentioned above except Sundays & Public Holidays.
